![]() Do you have writer's block? Are you stuck in the middle of a project and confused about what to do next? I recently had a client who was overwhelmed and stuck. As we talked, I realized she was not receiving or listening to her creative flow. This shows up as confusion, overwhelm, self-doubt, and worry that your project will not be good enough. We can get past writer's block by taking the focus away from ourselves and our fear of not being perfect. When you sit down to work on your project, say out loud:
"I am working on "my project," and I am open to receiving. I am listening and ready to have fun. Thank you." Refocus on the story you are telling. It is not about you, the creator. You are a messenger. What is your story trying to tell you? How does it want to be told? Open yourself up to inspiration and become hyper aware of the world around you. Keep a notepad with you and write down ideas or thoughts as they come to you throughout the day. Keep an ongoing note in your phone and email it to yourself. You must be a keen observer of your thoughts and your world. If you think something is a sign or has a connection to your project, explore that thought. Each project has a beginning, middle, and end. Often in the beginning and middle of the process, you will gather more than you need for the final product. That's why someone invented editing! Receive now, edit later. Are you looking for more accountability and a clear plan to more forward? Apply for creative coaching here. What would you love to create? xo Chrissy
